Mike has worked with Multnomah County Health Department for more than three years. I have enjoyed getting to know him and his work. Mike demonstrates enthusiasm, insight and humility as he supported our quality improvement work and transformation using Lean. He brings with him both a high degree of knowledge, excellent communication skills and a coaching style that is both respectful and effective.

He has worked with us on at least 15 rapid improvement events and shares our goal of coaching and training our own staff to better leverage the tools of Lean to build a safety culture of continuous improvement with sustained results. Our first project that was labeled “impossible” by many staff members was very successful; and has shown sustained results for over two years. Mike is warm, approachable, very knowledgeable and inspires those who work with him to continuously improve.
